![]() I couldn't find this much accurate information in any other threads, videos or anywhere I looked on google, so I decided to do some research on my own and luckily I found a good spot where you can always, almost always trigger a Blue Shield survivor escort mission, keep in mind that this doesn't always work, from my own experience, it's around 80%+ chance that he'll spawn. This may not be a new, but for me personally. (Dev weapons such as EXPcalibur/Korek Machete cannot be repaired this way) You can repeat this quest every 3-5 in-game days which can be fast forwarded by sleeping. You can even completely revive broken weapons with 0 durability and 0 repairs left, just as new as they were when you found them! Yes, even gold tier weapons! I think I've seen some file called auramodule or similar, maybe I would give it first shot.ĭocuments\Dying Light\out you can pretty much change only fov as far as I know.Hello, this guide will teach you how to refurbish and restore all repairs/durability on all your weapons, and by "All" I meant as much as you can carry per mission run (entire inventory). The visual effect of ss was still there, so it needs to be removed from another file. I just gave quick test to the mod with online method and it seemed to do as it promises: removes muting filter of SS.Īs you have noticed, you can find most of the orginal files from Data0, so you can just compare yourself what values that some mod changes and perhaps get clues if its outdated. Originally posted by _:Well, the original mod is linked in the OP, and no, it doesn't work, regardless of how you install it: (We never do get an explanation for this magical power our protagonist has - then again, he never mentions the HUD either.)īut at least the Gong be Gone sound change linked above works, without disabling Coop. Granted, better still would be to add a shimmer material to interactables, like every other zombie game has - no need for survivor sense at all then, save for spotting virals. Even if I can't get it up on the Steam Workshop, I'd like to put it up on Nexus, and maybe talk with some old modders there as to how to go about making their mods work again. This makes me suspect the game is no longer using the script system for these functions at all.īut yes, if I get the chance, maybe I'll pester ya, if ya think there might be some way to add a more complete version of the mod without disabling Coop. To reiterate, I did try incorporating the changes directly into the PAK file, and it *still* didn't work, despite throwing up the Coop disabled warning. Near as I can tell, the game now ignores all files in Documents/Dying Light/out, so most of the mods on Nexus are dead. Now, the scripts the mod provides are dated, but I tried extracting the current SCRs from data0.pak and altering them in the same fashion, but that didn't work either. Well, the original mod is linked in the OP, and no, it doesn't work, regardless of how you install it: ![]() ![]() PM me on steam or rather Discord and I can take better look on that mod. It isn't impossible task, but answer to that imo doesn't belong to Steam Discussions, even though its going to be used with pure intentions. So if you aren't satisfied and want to continue with removing zombie aura visual and that mute surrounding sounds-effect when SS is used, the next task is to bypass the coop warning and allow that mod to work online. I took look on that mod you found from Nexusmods and it should be still viable, just the install instructions are outdated. Wonder if I could make that a Workshop file, if I manage to pull it off. Just nixing that gong does make the game a whole lot more playable though. However, that I'm fairly certain is in a PAK file, and thus maybe a no-go. Now, I assume the next step would be to repeat the process to remove the related mesh effect. Since QuickBMS refused to import an empty file, I went in with a hex editor and took out everything after the FSB header. I was able to use QuickBMS to extract and reimport the offending sound file - though I couldn't get the current version of FMOD to load the FSB. Editing the PAK directly doesn't cut it either, but even if it did, it disables coop. Originally posted by _:Well, again, editing the SRC files and sticking em into the Dying Light's document mod folder doesn't cut it anymore.
